What is meant by internal pressure of an ideal gas?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The pressure for one mole of a real gas is given as: `P + a/(V^2)` . The term `a/(V^2)` is a measure of the attractive force of the molecules. It is called internal pressure or cohension pressure. It is of importance in connetion with inter-molecular forces.
