Consider a fluid at rest in a container . Density of fluid is `rho` and height of fluid column is h as shows in figure.

The weight of the fluid in the cylinder W=mg…(1)
but mass of fluid m= volume `xx` density `=Ahrho`
`thereforew=(Ahrhog)`.....(2)
The pressure produced at the bottom of container due to this weight is
`P=("Weight W")/("Area A")``thereforeP=(Ahrhog)/(A)`
`thereforeP=hrhog` ...(3)
This equation show that pressure produced due to fluid column depend on the heigh of fluid column h and density of fluid `rho`.
