When a fluid passes through a constricted part of a pipe ,what happens to its velocity and pressure ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When a fluid passes through a constricted part then according to `vprop(1)/(A)` its velocity increases and according to Bernoulli.s equation
`P_(1)+(1)/(2)rhov_(1)^(2)=P_(2)+(1)/(2)rhov_(2)^(2)` pressure decreases .
