What is the length of a simple pendulum, which ticks seconds ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The time period of a simple pendulum, which ticks seconds, is 2s.
`T= 2pi sqrt((L)/(g))`
`therefore T^(2)= (4pi^(2)L)/(g)`
`therefore L= (T^(2) g)/(4pi^(2)`
`= ((2)^(2)xx9.8)/(4xx(3.14)^(2))= 0.9939`
`therefore L approx 1m`
