What is impulse of force ? Write its unit and dimension.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

From Newton second law of motion
`f = (Delta p)/( Delta t )`
Product of force and time interval for force is applied is called impulse force
Thus impulse of force equal to change in momentum.
in case of impusive force it is difficult to measure magnitude and time intterval . Hence impulse of force is obtained by measuring change in momentum.
