An object of 18 gram mass is lying on slope of `60^(@)`. If 36 dyne force act on it what will be its acceleration in horizontal direction ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Horizontal component of force (in x-direction)
`F_(x ) = ` f cos `60^(@)`
=18 dyne
Now `a_(x ) = (F_(x ))/( m )`
`=(18)/(18)`
`a_(x ) = 1 cm^(2)`
`mu= tan theta`
`theta = tan^(-1) (mu)`
