A block placed on a rough horizontal surface is pulled by a horizontal force F. Let f be the force applied by the rough surface on the block. Plot a graph of f versus F.

OA part graph shows static friction which is self adjusting force . In this region friction force = external force (F )
Point B shows limiting friction which represent maximum static frictions
Once block comes into motion there is kinetic friction kinetic friction is less than static friction.
