Two small insulating spheres are attached to silk threads. The spheres have equal masses of 40 g and have electric charges of q_(1)=+2.0 muC and q_(2)=-2.0 mu C . The spheres are brought into the initial positions shown in Figure(a), with a vertical separation of 15 cm between them. In figure, the upper thread is slowly pulled upward, while point B is kept fixed. When point a has been raised through a height h, the lower sphere suddenly falls, as shown in Figure (b). The height h, is closest to:

A mass of 2 kg suspended with thread AB (figure). Thread CD of the same type is attached to the other end of 2 kg mass. Lower thread is pulled gradually, harder and harder in the downward direction, so as to apply force on AB. Which of the threads will break and why ?

In the above problem, the frequnecy of oscillations of the cage will be-

A small ball of mass m and charge q is attached to the bottom end of a piece of negligible mass thread of length l, whose top end is fixed. The system formed by the thread and ball is in vertical plane and is in uniform horizontal magnetic field B, which is perpendicular to the plane of figure and points into the paper The ball is started with a velocity v_(0) from lower most point of circle in a direction perpendicular both to the magnetic induction and to direction of thread. The ball moves along a circular path such that thread remains tight during the whole motion. Neglect any loss of enery. By what factor is the force acting on the thread (tension in thread) at point A is greater than at point C, when speed of the ball is the above stated one?

An ideal cell is connected across a capacitor as shown in figure. The initial separation between the plates of a parallel plate capacitor is d. The lower plate is pulled down with a uniform velocity v. Neglect the resistance of the cirucit. Then the variation of charge on capacitor with time is given by

Assertion :- The cord between A and B more likely to snap with a gradual downward pull at D . Reason :- When someone gives the lower cord a sudden downward pull, the tension in the lower cord inceaces suddenly.

In the given figure both the bocks have equal mass. When the thread is cut, which of the following statements give correct discription immediately after the thread is cut?

As shown in figure, the left block rests on a table at distance l from the edge while the right block is kept at the same level so that thread is unstrectched and does not sah and then released. What will happen first?

Assertion : A geostationary satellite rotates in a direction from west to east. Reason : At midnight when the sun is directly below. It pulls on an object in the same direction as the pull of the earth on that object. At noon when the sun is directly above. Its pulls on an object in a direction opposite to the pull of the earth.
