Shape of the earth is not perfect spherical. How we can say ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Earth is little bit squeezed at the poles and bulges at equator. Hence according to `g prop 1/R_e^2` acceleration due to gravity is more at poles than at equator `(g_p > g_e). `
