Explain the confusion with telescope and microscope.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

A telescope produces images of far objects nearer to our eye. Therefore objects which are not resolved at far distance can be resolved by looking at them through a telescope. Hence a telescope resolves.
While a microscope magnifies objects and produces their larger image. Hence a microscope magnifies.
