Light is electromagnetic waves and in it the oscillations of `vecE` (light vectors) vectors are in all directions in a plane perpendicular to the direction of propagation then the light is called unpolarized light. This is schematically represented in the below figure.

Hence, the plane of vibration of `vecE` vector is changed randomly in very short intervals of time.
Polarized light : Light in which light vectors are coplanar and parallel to each other is called polarized light. It is shown in below figure.
