In Example 10.3, what should the width of each slit be to obtain 10 maxima of the double slit pattern within the central maximum of the single slit pattern?

For diffraction, there is a single slit of width d. Here width of central maximum is, `(2lamdaD)/(d)" "….(1)`
For stationary interference pattern, there are two slits with separation suppose d.. Here total width of 10 bright fringes is
`10(lamda)/(d.)" "......(2)`
As per the statement, above two widths are same and so,
`(2lamdaD)/(d.)=10(lamda)/(d.)`
`:.d.=(d)/(5)=(1mm)/(5)" "("":.d=1mm)`
`:.d.=0.2mm`
Note : Please remember that d. is the separation between two slits in Young.s double slit experiment. It is not the width of any slit.
In example 10.3, what should the width of each slit be to obtain 5 maxima of the double slit pattern within the central maximum of the sigle slit pattern?
