Why is the diffraction of sound waves more evident in daily experience than that of ligh wave ?

Average wavelength of visible light,
`lamda=6000Å=6xx10^(-7)m`
n case of sound waves, audible range is 20 Hz to 20000 Hz. If frequency of sound generatec from human throat is taken as 332 Hz approximately then using `v=flamda`
`lamda=(v)/(f)=(332)/(332)=1m`
If above light waves and sound waves are diffracted by a slit of width d then,
`((lamda)/(d))_("sound")gtgtgtgt((lamda)/(d))_("light (visible)")`
In practice, light waves will be diffracted by very small amount by various obstacles in comparison with very large amount of diffraction of sound waves. That is why, two persons standing on either side of an open door may not see each other but definitely can hear the voice of each other.
