Why phtoelectric current is proportional to intensity?

According to Einstein.s theory intensity (energy incident per unit area per unit time) is proportional to quantum (packet of energy).
When energy incident is more ,more number of electrons will absorb quantum energy and as result of this (for`Vgt V_(0)`) more no.of electrons will be emitted.
This fact explain for `vgtv_(0)` how photoelectric current is proportional to intensity of radiation.
According to Einstein in photoelectric effect energy incident (quantum=packet of enrgy) is absorbed by electron.
Whatever may be number of photons for given intensity, emission of electron will be spontaneous.
Due to less intensity of radiation, emission of electron is not delayed because elementaty is absorption of quantum of light (photon).
Intensity determine how many electrons will participate in consituting photoelectric current.
