Show that the circuit drawn in the figure comprising of 3 NAND gate behaves as an OR gate.

As explained in the earlier illustration, the gates 1 and 2 will behave as a NOT gate. Hence `Y_(1)=barA and Y_(2)=barBbarA and barB` are the inputs to the gate 3. The output Y of the gate 3 can be prepared using the truth table of the NAND gate.

It is clear from the truth table that the above truth table resembles the truth table of an OR gate. Hence we have shown that the above circuit behaves as an OR gate.
