Keeping forward bias voltage from 0.6 V ...

Keeping forward bias voltage from 0.6 V to 0.7 V in a p-n junction diode its current become 1 mA to 3mA. The dynamic resistance of diode is …….

A

10 mA

B

15 mA

C

20 mA

D

5 mA

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

5 mA
The voltage remains constant on zener diode.

Current in `1kOmega`
(i) `1kOmega=(15" Volt")/(1kOmega)=15mA`
Current in 250 `kOmega`
(ii) `I=((20-15)V)/(250Omega)=(5V)/(250Omega)=(20)/(1000)A=20mA`
`therefore (i)_("zener diode")=(20-15)=5mA`
