What is meant by living organism ? How is it different from non-living objects ?

The world is formed of living and non-living things.
The main difference between living and non-living is that all living organisms show the presence of the basic unit of life cell.
The structural unit of living organisms is cell. Some organisms show the structure of a single cell. They are called unicellular organism while organisms having more than one cells, they are called multicellular organisms.
