Cell is a structural and functional unit of living organism.
Various activities shown by living organisms, biochemical processes of cells in their body structure depend on structure, type and number of cells. So cell is a fundamental basic unit of living organism.
The life of all living organisms begin from a unicellular body Zygote. New cells are formed by repeated divisions of zygote.
Cells formed this way get differentiated and form tissue, organ, organ system and body of the organism.
Totipotency: Totipotency is the ability of a single cell to divide and produce all of the differentiated cells in an organism.

Anton Von Leeuwenhoek first saw and described a live cell.
Robert Hook (1665) observed thin slice of oak bark under observation. He saw clear boxes types structure, cell word was used for it.
Robert Brown (1831) Robert Brown discovered nucleus, The invention of the microscope and its improvement leading to the electron microscope revealed all the structural details of the cell.
