Explain the structure of mouth.

Mouth: The alimentary canal begins with an anterior opening-mouth. It opens in oral cavity.
Mouth is surrounded by Maxillary bone and teeth from both the sides.
The oral cavity leads into a short pharynx.
The top layer of mouth forms palate. Its front part is hard, posterior part forms soft palate. Uvula are seen in middle of soft palate.
Cheek forms the muscular sides of the face which is connected with lips.
Lips are muscular folds which are covered by skin on the outer surface of face. Mucus layer is found on the end surface.
In the lower jaw of mouth, there is a Hyoid bone. Tongue is connected with it and arranged in lower jaw.
There are many teeth and muscular tongue reside in buccal cavity or oral cavity.
