The temperature coefficient of a reac...

The temperature coefficient of a reaction in 2 and the rate of the reaction at `25^(@)C` is ` 3 mol L^(-1) min^(-1)` Calculate the rate at `75^(@)C`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

According of Arrhenius, for every `10^(@)C` rise in the temperature, the rate of reaction is doubled.
Rise in the temperature `=75^(@)C-25^(@)C=50^(@)C`
`=5xx10^(@)C`
The increase in the rate of the reaction `=2^(5)=2` times
The rate of reaction `75^(@)C=3xx32`
`=96"mol"L^(-1)"min"^(-1)`.
