`(i) CH_3 CH_2 - overset(C_2 H_5) overset(|)(C )=CH_3 +HBr overset("Peroxide")to CH_3 CH_2 - overset(C_2 H_5) overset(|)(CH)- overset(Br)overset(|)CHCH_3`
this is anti -markovikoff addition
`(ii ) CH_3 CH_2 - overset(C_2 H_5 ) overset(|) (C ) - CH_3 +HCI overset("peroxide")to CH_3 CH_2 - underset(Cl)underset(|) overset(C_2 H_5) overset(|)(C )-CH_2 CH_3`
this is markovnikoff addition since peroxide effect is not observed in HCl.
