Consider the binary operations `** \: R\ xx\ R -> R ` and `o\ : R\ xx\ R -> R` defined as a `**\ b=|a-b|` and `aob=a` for all `a,\ b\ in R`. Show that `**` is commutative but not associative, `o` is associative but not commutative.
