Three coins are tossed simultaneously 200 times with the following frequencies of different outcomes: Outcome:       3 heads           2 heads                       1 head             No head Frequency:     23                   72                       77                   28 Find the probability of getting: (i) three heads (ii) two heads and one tail (iii) at least two heads

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Total number of outcomes=`200`
1)`P("3 heads")=23/200`
2)`P("2 heads and 1 tail")=72/200=9/25`
3)P(at least 2 heads)=`P(2 heads)+(3heads)`
`=9/25+23/200`
`=19/40`.
