Write the appropriate type of tissues in column II according to the functions mentioned in column I.

(A) Simple columnar epithelium : This epithelium makes inner lining of stomach, intestine and gall bladder. It forms stomach gland and intestinal glands where it works of secretion. So it is called glandular epithelium. This epithelium has villies in mucous layer of intestine. It increases the absorption surface so it is called brush border columnar epithelium. (B) Stratified epithelium : It is made up of epithelial cells in more than one layers. It is also called compound epithelium. Its cells of lowermost layer situated on basal membrane makes a layer where maximum wear and tear is observed. Hence mainly it works as protective epithelium. (C) Connective tissue : This tissue works to link various tissues or organs and to support various structures of animal body. This tissue originates from middle germinal layer and possesses living cells and external cellular fluid e.g. Blood is a fluid/liquid connective tissue.
