(a) When animals do physical exercise at that time deficit of `O_(2)` is created anaerobic respiration takes palce. At this time pyruvic acid gets converted into lactic acid by enzyme lactate dehydrogenate.
(b) Anaerobic respiration takes place in yeast in absence of `O_(2)` . While pyruvic acid is converted into `CO_(2)` and ethanol is obtained which is done through enzyme pyruvic acid decarboxylase and alcohol dehydrogenase.
