Describe the post - fertilisation changes in a flower.

Fertilisation is the process of the fusion of male and female gametes to form a diploid zygote. After fertilisation, the following change occur in a flower :
the zygote is formed inside the ovule and develops into the embryo.
The ovules develop into the seed.
The ovary develops into the fruit.
The ovary wall is transformed into a protective layer called the pericarp.
