Give scientific reason.Grafting is not possible in monocots.

Monocot plants possess closed vascular bundles. These bundles does not have cambium. Cambium is meristematic tissue. In grafting union of stock and scion takes place through this meristematic tissue. Hence grafting is not possible in monocots.
