(i) In haploid organisms the gamtes are formed without meiosis.
(ii) Male haploid gamete and female haploid gamete fuses to form diploid zygote.
(iii) This zygote undergoes meiosis to form haploid organism. e.g., Chlamydomonas, Ulothrix.
