Parthenocarpy is a production of seedless fruits without fertilisation. There are few species in which fruits develop without fertilisation. Such fruits are called parthenocarpic fruits. Other options are wrong. Because. (i) In a sexual reproduction only parents are capable to produce new organisms (ii) Apomixis is a method of forming seed without fertilisation in which embryo resembles mother plant genetically (iii) In sexual reproduction in different plants of a same or opposite species, gametes produced by process of producing male and female gamtes, form zygote by fertilisation through syngamy. New organism is developed from it
