The raw material for biogas production is excreta of cattle.s. It consists of 10-15 feet deep concrete tank in which bio waste and slurry of dung is collected. This tank has a floating cover which rises on the production of gas, this gas can be used for household purposes. Methanobacterium in the dung acts on this waste to produce the gas. The leftover slurry can be used as a fertilizer.
