In 1830 Michael Farady showed that if electricity is passed through a solution of an electrolyte which resulted in the liberation and deposition of matter at the electrodes and suggested the particulate nature of electricity
In 1850 mainly Farady discover cathode rays pass electricity at anode to cathode in evacuated tube at high pressure these were called negative charge electron.
