Explain properties of electromagnetic wave.

Electromagnetic wave motion is complex in nature . Its simple properties are as under :
(i) The oscillating electric and magnetic fields produced by oscillating charged particle are perpendicular to each other and both are perpendicular to the direction of propagation
Simplifield picutre of electromagnetic wave is shown in figure
(ii) Unlike sound waves or water waves electron waves do nto require medium and can move in vacuum.
(iii) There are many types of electromagnetic radiations which differe from one another in wavelength .There consitute what is called electromagnetic spectrum.
