The electromagnetic radiations are characterside by frequency wavelength and wave number
Wavelength : The distance between to succesive point of wave is taken same as wavelength . In vacuum all types of electromagnetic same speed i.e. 3.0 `xx 10^(8) ms^(-1) (2.997925 xx 10^(8) ms^(-1) ` to be precise )
this is called speed of ligth and is given the symbol `(c = 3.8 xx 10^(8) ms^(-1))`
This frequency ( v) wavelength and velocity of light ( c) are related by the equation .
`c= v lambda ` or `v = ( c) /( lambda )`
