The first concrete explanation for the phenomen of the black body radiation was given by Max planck in 1900 .
When solids are heated they emit radiation over a wide range of wavelength .
Example When an iron rod is heated a progresively becmoes more and more red as the is changed .
Black body : The ideal body which emits and absorbs radiations of all frequences is called a black body and the radiation emitted by such a body black body radiation is not able to explain by electrmagnetic radiatin theory but explain by Plank thery.
