Orbital : The area around the nucleus where orbital . In each orbital such area is maximum is called probability find electron is maximum approx `90%` For this `w^(2)` is small but it give definte value for definite distance from nucleus . it is not that enclose a region of 100% probability .so we draw the figure for 90% probability of finding electron.
Point and surface diagram of orbital : in point diagram points shown for probability .By combining points shape of orbital is given . in boundary surface or counter surface is drawn for an orbital in which the value and probability density `w^(2)` constant.
e.g. the boundary surface diagram of 1s ,2s ,`2p_(x ) 2p_(y) 2p_(z)` orbital are give .
