300 K temperature at `2.0xx10^(4)` Pa pressure volume of 0.09 mole `CO_(2)` gas is `112.0xx10^(-3)m^(3)` then calculate volume at `4.0xx10^(4)` Pa ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`64.2xx10^(-3)m^(3)`
`p_(1)V_(1)=p_(2)V_(2)`
`therefore V_(2)=(p_(1)V_(1))/(p_(2))=(2.0xx10^(4)Pa xx112.0xx10^(-3)m^(3))/(4.0xx10^(4)Pa)`
`= 64.2xx10^(-3)m^(3)`
(Note : As the pressure divided the volume become half.)

In the determination of molecular mass by Victor - Meyer's Method 0.790 g of a volatile liquid displaced 1.696 xx 10^(-4) m^(3) of moist air at 303 K and at 1 xx 10^(5) Nm^(-2) pressure. Aqueous tension at 303 K is 4.242 xx 10^(3) Nm^(-2) . Calculate the molecular mass and vapour density of the compound .

At temperature 300 K number density of electrons and holes in pure silicon is 1.5xx10^(16)m^(-3) . The number density of hole increase by 4.5xx10^(22)m^(-3) dopping the indium impurity so calculate number denstiy of electron.
