Why real gas shows deviation of ideal ga...

Why real gas shows deviation of ideal gas at fixed temperature in geaph of pV `to` p and `p to V`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

There is no attraction forces present between molecules of gas.
But that assumption was wrong they experiencing interaction molecules so derivations is observed.
Molar volume of gas is negligible than volume of total gas.
Volume of molecules of gas will become effective at higher pressure and lower temperature so deviation is observed.
