(A) In Rutherford experiment only few `alpha`-particles get rebounded.
(R) Most of the atomic space is empty.

A

Both 'A' and 'R' are true and 'R' is the correct explanation of 'A'.

B

Both 'A' and 'R' are true and 'R' is not the correct explanation of 'A'

C

'A' is true and 'R' is false

D

'A' is false and 'R' is true

The correct Answer is:
B

Most of the particles move without any deflection. This is because most of the space inside the atom is empty. Some of the the particles get deflected through small angles, this shows the presence of the positive charge concentration in the centre of each atom i.e the nucleus.
