The earth takes 24 h to rotate once about its axis. How much time does the sun take to shift by 1° when viewed from the earth?

Text Solution

`rArr` Angular displacement by Earth in one rotation around its self is `360^@`
`therefore` Time taken for shift of `360^@` = 24 hrs, then time for shit of `1^@ = t = ?`
`(24 xx 1)/(360) = (24 xx 60)/(360)` minute
= 4 minutes
