What is the epidermal cell modification in plants which prevents water loss?

Bulliform cells prevents loss of water. Bulliform cells or mechanical cells are epidermal cells which are located in grass or monocot plants. It helps in water stress condition for closing of stomata and similarly to prevent loss of water by transpiration.
