A constant volume gas thermometer shows ...

A constant volume gas thermometer shows pressure readings of 50 cm and 90 cm of mercury at `0^(@)Cand100^(@)C` respectively. What is the temperature on gas scale when the pressure reading is 60 cm of mercury ?

Given that `P_(0)` = 50 cm of Hg
`P_(100)` = 90 cm of Hg P = 60 cm of Hg
t = ?
`t_(C)=(P-P_(0))/(P_(100)-P_(0))xx100^(@)C`
so `t_(C)=(60-50)/(90-50)xx100^(@)C=25^(@)C`
