Endoparasites live in nutrient rich environment so most of their adaptations help them in maximizing absorption.
The endoparasites such as Taenia solium (Tape worm) and Fasciola hepatica (liver fluke) etc. are found inside the host body and survive due to the presence of certain characters.
(1) They perform anaerobic respiration and the gaseous exchange is through general body surface.
(2) These organisms have additional organ for the attachment to the host. Liver fluke possesses acetabulum or posterior sucker for the attachment. Tapeworm posses hooks and suckers for the attachment with host.
(3) These are generally hermaphrodite and self fertilization is common in them.
(4) The thick tegument is present which is resistant to the host.s digestive enzymes and antitoxins.
(5) Absence of locomotary organs.
 (6) Tapeworms lack digestive organs because digested or semidigested food of the host is directly absorbed through body surface.

The shells of crabs found around a particular coastal location in Japan seem mostly to resemble the legendary face of a Samurai. Given below are two explanations of this observed fact. Which of these strikes you as a scientific explanation ? (a) A tragic sea accident several centuries ago drowned a young Samurai. As a tribute to his bravery, nature through its inscrutable ways immortalised his face by imprinting it on the crab shells in that area. (b) After the sea tragedy, fishermen in that area, in a gesture of honour to their dead hero, let free any crab shell caught by them which accidentally had a shape resembling the face of a Samurai. Consequently, the particular shape of the crab shell survived longer and therefore in course of time the shape was genetically propagated. This is an example of evolution by artificial selection.

Try to think out other examples of this kind).
