In a game, the entry fee is Rs. 150. The game consists of tossing a coin 3 times. Dhana bought a ticket for entry. If one or two heads show, she gets her entry fee back. If she throuws 3 heads, she receives double the entry fees. Otherwise she will lose. Find the probability that she (i) gets double entry fee (ii) just gets her entry fee (iii) loses the entry fee.

Suppose a girl throws a die. If she gets as 5 or 6, she tosses a coin three times and notes the number of heads. If she gets I, 2, 3 or 4, she tosses a coin once and notes whether a head or tail is obtained. If she obtained exactly one head, wlhat is the probability that she threw 1,2,3 or 4 with the die?

There are three coins. One is a two headed coin (having head on both faces), another is a biased coin that comes up heads 75% of the time and third is an unbiased coin. One of the three coins is chosen at random and tossed, it shows heads, what is the probability that it was the two headed coin?

Consider a game played by 10 prople in which each flips a fair coin at the same time. If all but one of the coins comes up the same, then the add persons wing (e.g., if there are nine tails and one head then person having lead wins.) If such a situation does not occur, the players flips again. Find the probability that game is settled on or after nth toss.

Whenever horses a , b , c race together, their respective probabilities of winning the race are 0.3, 0.5, and 0.2 respectively. If they race three times, the probability that the same horse wins all the three races, and the probability that a , b ,c each wins one race are, respectively. a. 8//50 ,9//50 b. 16//100 ,3//100 c. 12//50 , 15//50 d. 10//50 ,8//50

A coin is tossed 100 times and the following outcomes are recorded Head:45 times Tails:55 times from the experiment a) Compute the probability of each outcomes. b) Find the sum of probabilities of all outcomes.

Which of the following arguments are correct and which are not correct? Give reasons. i) If two coins are tossed simultaneously there are three possible outcomes - two heads, two tails or one of each. Therefore, for each of these outcomes, the probability is 1/3 ii)If a die is thrown, there are two possible outcomes - an odd number or an even number. Therefore, the probability of getting an odd number is 1/2

Determine P(E/F) A coin is tossed three times, where i. E:head on third toss, F: head on first two tosses ii. E: atleast two heads, F: atmost two heads iii. E: atmost two tails, F: atleast one tail

A coin is tossed three times and all possible outcomes are assumed to be equally likely. E is the event: "exactly 2 heads or two tails have occurred" and F is the event: "at most one tail has occurred". Show that E and F are independent events.
