What are refractive defects of vision ? Why these defects arise ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The defects due to which a person cannot see objects distinctly and comfortably are called defects of vision.
Sometimes, the eye may gradually lose its power of accommodation as ciliary muscles are not that able to change the thickness of eye lens as needed. In such conditions, the person cannot see objects distinctly and comfortably, i.e., the vision becomes blurred due to the refractive defects of the eye.
