A body projected vertically from the ear...

A body projected vertically from the earth reaches a height to earth's radius before returning to the earth . The power exterted by the gravitational force is greatest `………..`

A

at maximum height of body

B

at the instant just before the body hits the earth

C

remains constant throughout motion

D

at the instant just after the body is projected

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

When the body is projected ,its velocity is opposite to the gravitational force hence work done on gravitational force and it hit the earth ,its velocity is maximum and it is in the direction of gravitational force . So power is gain by gravitational force .
