`:.` 3g of carbon burns in 8 g of oxygen producing 11 g of carbon dioxide.
So, when there is 3.00 g of carbon and 50.00 g of oxygen, then also only 8g of oxygen will be used forming 11.0 g of carbon dioxide.
42 g of oxygen (50 g-8g) will remain unused.
The answer is governed by the law of constant proportion.
