A light vertical spring is stretched by ...

A light vertical spring is stretched by 2cm when a weight of 10g is attached to its free end. The weight is further pulled down by `1.0`cm and released. Compute the frequency and amplitude of motion.

The correct Answer is:
(i) 3.523 Hz, (ii) 1.0 cm

Initially `kx_0 = mg`
where `x_0 = 2cm , m = 10 g `
when the weight is pulled down by 1 cm from equilibrium position the same will be equal to amplitude
