State Joule's law in thermodynamics and ...

State Joule's law in thermodynamics and explain it. Give the relation between work and heat.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When work done (W) is expressed in joules and Heat (H) produced in calories, then W = JH where J is mechanical equivalent of heat.
In S.I system, heat and work done are measured in joules. So heat is also a form of energy. Then J=1
