(i) Chloride of lime is calcium hypochlorite `CaOCl_2` which is alkaline while calcium chloride is `CaCl_2` which is neutral.
(ii) `2CaOCl_2 (s)+H_2SO_4(aq) to CaSO_4(aq)+CaCL_2(aq)+2HClO(aq)`
(iii) (a) Bleaching powder is used for bleaching purposes in textile and paper industry and in laundry.
(b) It is also used as a disinfectant for water
