Define the unit of current....

Define the unit of current.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The SI unit of current is called an ampere (A).
If I coulomb charge flows through any crosssection of a conductor in 1 second, then the electric current flowing through the conductor is said to be 1 ampere.
`i.e., 1A = (1C)/(1s) = 1C s^(-1)`
